myFitness is the fitness centre for Sun Life employees.

We have an on-site location in Waterloo but since March  2020 we have moved to a 100% Virtual Platform.  While we continue to work from home, myFitness Virtual is FREE for all Sun Life employees & their family members.

Kim Sato

With over 10 years of fitness experience, Kim is a certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor Specialist.  Kim also holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo in Biotechnology, and holds a Food Science certificate from the University of Guelph.  Prior to her fitness career, she had a corporate career in the food industry working with developmental food product teams.  This gave her an inside look on the processed foods that we consume.

Kim is also a community sport NCCP certified coach and as a result has coached a large number of  individuals and groups ranging from children’s sports groups to adults and seniors.  She wants to help people to continue to do the things that they love – whether it’s to play a sport or to perform an active daily living task pain free such as lifting bags of groceries.

Kim is certified to instruct Bootcamp Classes, a variety of Cardio and Strength Training Classes, Barre Above and Cyclefit.

Amanda Scott

Amanda is on leave as of May 20, 2022 – please be in touch with Kim Sato for all questions and concerns.

Amanda has been the myFitness manager since April 2019.  Amanda is a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and a Registered Holistic Nutritionist.  Amanda studied biological science and nutrition and nutraceutical science at the University of Guelph.  She is also a certified Zumba, K1 Kickboxing, Pilates, and Strong Nation instructor.

Amanda teaches many classes and leads challenges for myFitness.  She is high energy but loves to focus on making fitness, movement and nutrition accessible for everyone.  Her focus is on movement for total body wellness.
